End of the park

   We've contacted the ship and the park is now under control. Ellie, Muldoon, Gennaro, and I went to find the rapor's nest. We went with the jeep. we found some raptors and followed them to a hole. We all went in and landed on concrete. There were a lot of raptors there, most of them are juvenile. They were all behaving strangely, freezing then looking in one direction even the adults were doing it. They didn't seem to notice us. Suddenly they all ran through a tunnel, we followed them. The tunnel led to a beach. Then it hit me, The raptors wanted to migrate! Bet you didn't know that.

That's the end of Jurassic Park

  A helicopter appeared in the scene. A soldier told us to get in, they going to blow up the island. Everyone that was alive was in the helicopter. Turns out this disaster was made by the computer expert they sent to the island, Dennis Nedry. He tried to steal the dinosaur embryos but his plan went horribly wrong and he was killed by a dinosaur, after what he's done he deserved it. Henry Wu died since the diversion that was used on the raptors didn't work like we thought it did and Wu sacrificed himself to save all of us, a noble sacrifice. Hammond wasn't with us either ,he got killed by his own creations, ironic. luckily Malcolm was still alive ,but he's been better. I was to tired to be sad for all these guys. I looked back to the island and it was in flames, and that was the end of Jurassic Park. I never what to experience that again, but it sure was an experience to remember.

    We got to the generator. Gennaro was there. He defeated a raptor, impressive. But he was now too scared to go back in, So I had to get in there. Luckily ,none of the raptor's friends were in there. I turned the power on. We were going to the visitor's center, but the others told us there were raptors in the way by walkie-talkie. They planned a diversion. It worked and we went safely to the visitor's center. The power wasn't fully back on for the whole park, so we went to turn it on. The kids stayed in the control center, it's safe there. after we got the power on we ran in to the kids. They were chased by some raptors. I lured them to the fertilization room. They might be intelligent but I'm smarter, I had a plan. There was a syringe full of poison to kill dinosaur infants that has gone wrong, it was shown in the tour. I injected an egg with poison and 2 of them ate it. They died but their friend attacked me, I took him down too. When I was finished ,I went back to the control room and everything looks under control.

Behind the Waterfall

   The raft was moving very quickly. Suddenly, we heard a loud sound. I thought it was a waterfall and it was. We all panicked. One of my oars hit a rock and stopped the raft for a while. In the bottom of the waterfall was a pool, with a T-rex in it! The current was too strong and it eventually I couldn't hold on to the oar anymore, and all of us went down. My life flashed again, this is the second time I was near death today. After what seems to be the longest fall of my life my body finally hit the cold water. The water carried me past the hind leg of the tyrannosaur. I swam to the edge of the pool. Tim went past me, and I caught him. Unfortunately it wasn't as easy to get Lex. She was beside the Rex's tail. I swam there and I pulled her by the arm to the edge of the pool. Now all of us were together.
    There was a path that went up next to the waterfall. We went up the path and it disappeared behind the waterfall! We continued and found a small ledge behind the water. There was a consrete wall and a metal door there. There was a keypad next to the door and some numbers written on the wall beside it, I wonder who wrote that? I thought that the numbers would open the door so I tried it out. It worked, That means whoever wrote it wrote the combination there just in case he/she forgot. I went through the door and when I got in ,it closed behind me. There was no keypad or keyhole there so I couldn't open it. I hoped Tim would open it again.
     I was in a tunnel. It was very dark in there. I wanted to be on the safe side so I took out the tranquilizer gun. There was a torch on a ledge and I took it. There was also a switch. I pressed it and the lights came on. Ahead of me was a small electric car- the maintenance vehicle and a tunnel, or a way out. I went back for the children but was stoped by a velociraptor. I shot it and it died.
    Suddenly, The door was open. I thought that Tim opened it but he didn't. That must mean that the power is on. The Tyrannosaur was lying on the water. We went to the car and I picked up the velociraptor, since it's a male. We drove to the Control Centre.

The Voyage Through the Forest

     Saturday 5 a.m I just woke up. I heard the children laughing, It sounds nice after what happened yesterday. They were with a baby triceratops, no wonder they were laughing it was so cute.There was a box in the wall labeled: Sauropod Maintenance Building. There was a phone in it ,but it wasn't working.We went out, hoping to find sensors so we can trigger them to show our location to the people in the control center. We found one but it didn't work. We went to find another one ,but suddenly Hadrosaurs started to run and cry out in fear. Turns out, a Tyrannosaur was chasing them. We waited until the hadrosaur had ran passed us, Then we climbed a tree to hide from the Tyrannosaur. When the Tyrannosaur was gone ,I told the children to go, but Lex refused. Tim suggested that we go on the river. He said that he saw a box labeled: Inflatable Raft, In the shed we slept in. We went back to the shed and Tim was right, we found the box. In the box we found a Raft(of course), a glass cylinder to pump the raft, a map of the island, and a tranquilizer gun with matching tranquilizer darts.
     We went to a jetty by the lake. When we arrived we saw an adult Rex sleeping about 20 metres away. Quietly i unfolded the raft and inflated it. Then I slowly put the raft into the water. Then all of us silently went in. We were now in the lake ,but not long after we went in Lex was going to cough. I rowed the boat as fast as I could, but Lex's cough woke up the dinosaur and it went after us. I picked up the tranquilizer gun and shot, but it didn't work! I thought it was all over for us, I could even see my life flashing before my eyes. But then a glimmer of hope came. A young Rex was eating the adult Rex's food. The big Rex was angry, looks like he's not gonna give up his food without a fight. The young Rex ran away with the food and the big Rex went after him. In a few minutes neither of them were able to be seen. I was exhausted and stopped rowing. Luckily there was a strong current in the river.
    We went into a narrow river. There were microceratops jumping in some branches. Suddenly I heard screams from the litle creatures. All of a sudden the head of a Tyrannosaur came out, but the trees were to close and it's head can't get through. We went round on a bend in the river. There were two dilophosaurs on the river bank. I caught a branch and held on to it. Suddenly, I noticed that these two were not the same as each other. They also acted strangely. The I realized ,the dilophosaur were male and female! I never expected a date in the forest, and we were interupted. But it seems that they don't notice us, They were too busy lloking into each other's eyes. We lay down in the bottom of the raft and stayed still. We went passed them and they didn't notice us.

    Friday 7 p.m ,It was raining. We were in our land cruisers next to the ocean. The children saw the supply ship that we saw earlier. Lex saw something on, It  were raptors. I called the Control Room but it wouldn't work. We really need to go back now. Regis restarted the land cruiser, but suddenly all the lights over the road turned off and we weren't moving either. The power was off! It was dark and I can't see anything outside.Tim used his goggles and saw the adult Tyrannosaur. Regis was terrified and ran away. The electric fence was off and now we have no protection against the dinosaur except the land-cruisers. The Tyrannosaur attacked the children's land-cruiser, poor kids. Malcolm went out and was attacked by the Tyrannosaur. I got out too. The Rex kicked my land-cruiser and it hit me, and I flew through the air. Later I found Tim and Lex. We ran away from the Rex and after walking for a while we found shelter, a shed filled with hay food for the dinosaurs.

The Tour

Dilophosaur

   Everyone was waiting for this and I'm really excited, It is finally time to take a tour of the park. We traveled with land-cruisers which ran on electricity. In the land-cruisers there was a computer, a walkie-talkie, and a pair weird night vision goggles. the land-cruises started moving and we began the tour. We saw hypsilophodontids, dilophosaur, and triceratops; dinosaurs I have studied but have never seen in real life.

Triceratops

    The computer gave us a lot of facts about the dinosaurs that we saw, They must have been studying them for a while now. Some of you might or might not know about some of these dinosaurs, But I'm sure you all know of the king of all dinosaurs, The T-Rex! We were at the enclosure  and we heard the sound of an animal. It was a goat! What is it doing here? Suddenly the Tyrannosaur emerged, It was huge! It reached for the goat and ate it, some looked away. I will never forget this experience. I might even visit this park again.

Gizzard Stones

    It was cloudy now and probably going to rain, luckily we're in a land cruiser. We went to see the herbivores next , now I don't have to worry about dinosaur attacks anymore. That's what I thought, before Tim said that he saw a velociraptor. We needed to go back to report this dinosaur, but the land-cruiser could only move forward. We went to the south of the island and found a jeep. Next to the jeep there was a man that was examining a stegosaur. The man was Dr. Harding the park's vet. He said that the stegosaurs get sick every six weeks for no known reason. Ellie thinks that the stegosaur has been poisoned by berries from a bush, but Dr. Harding said they didn't eat any. Ellie looked around and found some stones, gizzard stones to be exact. The Stegosaurs use these stones to break up their food and they must have picked up some berries when they pick up new stones. Then I found something more important than the stones, a piece of a shell from a dinosaur egg. I immediately thought the dinosaurs were breeding and called the Control Center, but everyone denied it. Malcolm asked them to do a test. On the screen it said : Total Expected = 238 and Total Number Found = 238. Malcolm asked them to tell the computer to look for 239 dinosaurs. The screen changed, It was now: Total Expected = 239 and Total Number Found = 239. Then Malcolm asked them to tell the computer to search for 300 dinosaurs. The screen changed again, It now said: Total Expected = 300 and Total Number Found = 292. Everyone was silenced. We went back to the Safari lodge but Ellie stayed back.

How to Make Dinosaurs

   We went upstairs in the visitor's center and got in the Control Room. The Chief engineer,John Arnold, and The Park Warden,Robert Muldoon was there. we went in a door with a sign saying EXTRACTIONS, The chief geneticist, Henry Wu was there. It all about the dinosaurs' DNA and fixing it with other animals' DNA. Hammond spent a lot of money on amber not to use it as jewelry or something, but for the blood in the insects trapped inside. Like the flies of today, flies in prehistoric times also bit dinosaurs and i don't think they like it (something we have in common). The scientists take the DNA of the dinosaurs from the blood taken from the previously mentioned flies. then the computers work to repair the DNA chains by replacing it with DNA from other animals( strangely they're not mutant).  We went in the Fertelization room where the dinosaurs' embryos are put into speial eggs. The were syringes filled with poison to injest the egg and kill the dinosaur if somthing goes wrong,  I felt a litte pity since those dinosaurs didn't even experience life. After the fertilization room we went to the hatchery where the eggs hatch. Unfortunately only 0.4% of the eggs actually hatch,But they have a lot of dinosaurs now, 238 to be exact. I wonder what happen if they breed, but Wu said that they make only female dinosaurs.
  In the control room we looked at the screens and saw the same thing in all of them, the supply ship beside the main dock. It transports equipment and food(hence 'supply'). Ellie asked if there were any raptors in the park, I also wantd to see them. Regis said there were some behind the control center. We went to see them when suddenly two raptors tried to attack us but was hindered by the fence.these animals were vicious.

Isla Nublar: The Island of Dinosaurs

    After a really long flight we arrived at San Jose and got in a small copter . There was another man with us in the copter, this time he was a computer expert. He was fat and he was going to the island to sort out some bugs with the computer system. After a while we finnaly saw the island. It had thick forests and a cloud of fog around the island. We landed  and a man ran to us and introduced himself. He was Ed Regis the publicity manager.
   We were going down the hill and I saw a tree trunk in the distance, But it has no leaves and was taller than the others. Then that tree trunk moved towards me. I was freaking out,and after a while I was shocked when i realized it wasn't a tree, it was an Apatosaur! But then Malcolm thought that it couldn't be true, it must be a machines. But Hamond said that they were alive.

      Ed Regis guided us to the Safari Lodge where we will be staying. As we went down there was a sign that said

'Welcome to Jurassic Park'

a catchy name isn't it. I always wanted to study living dinosaurs and now I can. The excitement stopped when we arrived at the Safari Lodge. We were sent plans for this building, But I wonder if it was the right plans they sent us. Since the plans we got  showed something like a hotel, not a kind of hotel ever stayed at. This place was like a prison. There were metal bars everywhere, metal doors, metal fences, metal metal metal! And it was pretty depressing there.

    It was time for the tour, and everyone was excited. We meet Hammond at the Visitor's Center next to the Safari Lodge.there was an exhibiton in there that was titled :When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth. Genarro asked us if the park was safe, and Malcolm said no. Hammond got mad at our comments and went out of the room, and after he went out we heard a helicopter, surely he won't just leave us in the island. We went out ,and we found out that he was't leaving but welcoming new guests. Now it was children. specifically grandchildren, Hammond's grandchildren. They were Tim and Lex Murphy. I didn't know Tim but He knew me, He even read one of my books: 'The Lost World of the Dinosaurs' One of my best-selling books. He loved dinosaurs too, but I didn't get the same enthusiasm from Lex.

To The Island!

        Wednesday: Snakewater, Montana, USA 09:00 AM. The sun was scorching hot, It was over 40C! I was in the field with my partener Dr. Sattler. I have just uncovered a tiny bone which was 75 million years old. Sudenly, Dr. Sattler called me. She said that the lawyer from the EPA has just arrived, I wonder why? So i went downhill and meet our unxspected visitor. His name was Bob Morris. We went into a trailer and Morris and I sat down while Dr. Sattler examine the bones I found. Bob visited us to ask questions about the man that pays for my research, John Hammond. He was asking me about the strange things that he's been doing, But I didn't know that much. Then Bob Morris left.

          Not long after that i received a fax that shocked me. It was an x-ray of a dinosaur! Then the phone rang. I thought it was the person that sent me the fax ,but it was actually Hammond. Hammond wanted me to go the island near Costa Rica that he owns to be a consultant for a big resort that he is opening soon. I said no ,but he insisted. He said that he'll pay Dr.Sattler and I  $60000 each if we came, and i couldn't turn down(would you) that offer since that amount of money will pay for our research for the  next two years.

           Hammond also sent us a parcel of information about Isla Nublar. There were building plans and a map. Isla Nublar was long and narrow and there were a lot of buildings and structures in it. Dr. Sattler says that it looked like a zoo, an enormous one! and the buildings were made of concrete and have thick walls. In a while we will see the real thing.
           It was a long flight to Isla Nublar, and we met some other people there. A lawyer from InGen Incorporated(Hammond's company) named Donald Gennaro and a Mathematician named Ian Malcolm. There was conflict on the plane when Prof. Malcolm said that the park had a serious problem and Hammond got angry. I didn't really understand what's wrong ,so I asked Malcolm . It turns out it was something that he was studying called the chaos theory. He said that the chaos theory was about unpredictable changes. Malcolm says the park was unpredictable, I just hope it doesn't end in chaos.

Who Am I

Hi, I'm Dr.Alan Grant, a paleontologist, and as a plaeontologist I study ancient bones of prehistoric animals millions of years old, dinosaur bones for short. I also work with Dr. Ellie Satller, a paleobotanist, in the field, since we sometimes come across prehistoric plants, and as a paleobotanist she studies them. But enough about my current life, let's talk a bout my past. I was born in Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. I wasn't in a rich family but it was a pretty good childhood. My parents said that i had a fascination with dinosaurs back then, and I still do now. I gratuated from Harvard at the age of 27 with my bachelor degree in Paleontology. I continued my studies in Oxford. And now I'm a world renowned paleontologist, having written best selling books such as"The Lost World of the Dinosaurs". My Dream has always been finding my own species of dinosaur ,Or at least having a species named after me.

    Currently my research has been funded by Mr. John Hammond the owner of InGen Incorporated. I can tell that he is very interested in dinosaurs and i admire that. And he funded us with a lot of money too, about $30000 a year!
